Rules of Use and Operation
Last updated: September 16, 2026
These Rules are part of, and complement, the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
1. What Cartuna is
Cartuna is an independent reseller of genuine, physical collectible trading cards, operated by Cartuna TCG (“Cartuna”, “we”, “us”). You access it through cartunatcg.com and related applications (the “Platform”).
Cartuna sells only authentic products, lawfully acquired, and resells them to the end consumer. Cartuna is not the manufacturer of the cards and has no affiliation with the owners of the trademarks on the products it resells (see the Intellectual Property section of the Terms of Use).
2. Who can use it (eligibility)
Use of the Platform is restricted to individuals who are at least 18 years old, legally able to enter into a contract, and residing in the United States. By creating an account you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
Use by anyone under 18 is prohibited, even with adult supervision. If we identify an account held by a minor, the account will be suspended and any balance handled as required by law.
3. User account
To summon and receive cards you need an account with true, accurate and up-to-date information, including your full name, phone number and shipping address. You are responsible for the accuracy of that information and for keeping your login credentials safe.
Each person may keep only one account. Creating multiple accounts, using someone else's identity or providing false information may lead to suspension and termination, without prejudice to any other remedies available to us.
4. MonDollars (virtual credits)
MonDollars are virtual credits for use exclusively within the Platform, purchased in packs and used to perform summons. MonDollars:
- are not money, a security, legal tender, a stored-value instrument or an investment;
- have no monetary value outside the Platform, earn no interest and are not redeemable for cash, except where a refund is required by law or offered under these Rules;
- are personal and non-transferable and may not be sold, assigned or traded between users;
- are purchased solely to access the summon mechanic and the resulting purchase of cards.
The price of MonDollar packs is shown at checkout in U.S. dollars (USD). The exchange between MonDollars and dollars happens only when a pack is purchased. Applicable sales tax, if any, is shown at checkout.
5. How a Summon works
A “summon” is how you purchase a physical card from our inventory. When you spend the number of MonDollars shown for the chosen collection, the Platform reveals, through an animation (the “roulette”), which card from inventory has been assigned to you.
The animation is only a playful way of revealing the item you purchased. Every summon necessarily results in the purchase of a real, physical collectible card, which is added to your collection on the Platform and can be shipped to your address.
Each collection may have its own summon cost, always displayed clearly before you confirm.
6. Product guarantee: Cartuna is not gambling, a lottery or a sweepstakes
Cartuna's mechanic is designed so that it is not gambling, betting, a lottery, a raffle or a sweepstakes. Unlike gambling, on Cartuna:
- there is no possibility of losing: every summon delivers a physical card of value to the user, never “nothing”;
- there is no cash prize and no promise of financial return;
- there is no wager against the house and no contest whose outcome depends purely on chance with the risk of losing what you paid;
- your payment is for the purchase of a specific product (a card from a finite inventory) plus the curation and reveal service.
The element of surprise is limited to which card, among those available, you receive, the same way a sealed booster pack of collectibles works, a product commonly sold in the market. Note: this characterization reflects Cartuna's position and is subject to legal review; see the Terms of Use.
7. Collections, rarities and inventory
Cards are organized in collections and classified into five rarity tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Special Rare and Hyper Rare. How these tiers map to market rarities is described in Cartuna's reference material.
Inventory is finite: every available card corresponds to a real physical item in Cartuna's possession. A summon is only possible while the chosen collection has cards in stock. If there is no stock, the summon is not completed and no MonDollars are charged.
8. Reveal transparency
The reveal of which card you received is recorded in an auditable way, allowing you to verify that the result was not manipulated after the summon started. The odds associated with each rarity tier, where applicable, are displayed on the Platform.
9. Card delivery
Cards you purchase are recorded in your collection on the Platform. To receive them physically, you request shipping and provide a valid U.S. address: name, street address, unit/apartment (if any), city, state and ZIP code.
There may be a minimum number of cards per shipment and a shipping fee, both shown when you make the request. Delivery times depend on the carrier and destination. You are responsible for the accuracy of the address; reshipments caused by an incorrect address may incur additional charges.
10. Deadline to request shipping
After receiving a card, you have 30 days to request physical shipping. The deadline and countdown are shown in your collection.
If the deadline passes without a shipping request, the card is automatically converted into MonDollars at the buy-back value for its rarity, which become available in your account. No value is lost: the conversion guarantees that the credit stays with you.
11. Conversions
Conversion into MonDollars happens only automatically, at the end of the deadline, and does not create a right to a cash refund.
12. Prices, payments and taxes
Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe). Cartuna does not store your full card details. Applicable taxes are collected and remitted as required by law.
13. Refunds, returns and damaged items
Unused MonDollars: you may request a full refund of a MonDollar pack within 14 days of purchase, provided none of the MonDollars from that pack have been used in a summon. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
After a summon, a specific product has been individualized and purchased, and that sale is final. Cards that arrive damaged or defective will be replaced or refunded: contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos, following the instructions on the Platform.
Refund timing depends on your payment method and its provider. Nothing in these Rules limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.
14. Prohibited conduct
- using the Platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes or in a way that violates third-party rights;
- creating multiple accounts or using false or third-party information;
- attempting to circumvent, automate or manipulate the summon mechanic, prices or Platform systems;
- reselling, assigning or trading MonDollars or accounts;
- any act that compromises the security, integrity or operation of the Platform.
15. Suspension and termination
Cartuna may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Rules or the Terms of Use, or upon a reasonable suspicion of fraud, always acting in good faith and in accordance with applicable law.
16. Changes to these Rules
These Rules may be updated. The current version is always the one published on this page, with its effective date. Material changes may be communicated through the Platform's channels.
